Spelling family reunion 'is for the kids'

Dean McDermott has spoken publicly over Tori Spelling's recent reunion with mother Candy.

The Canadian actor told People that his wife made the decision to reconcile with Candy for the sake of her children.

"They have been in communications," McDermott confirmed. "Candy has seen the kids, which is what this is all about."

He added: "We are keeping all this private like it should be."

The pair's improved relationship first made headlines last week when sources suggested that they were back on speaking terms after being hospitalised at the same time in September. Candy later spoke out to predict that their future would be full of "wonderful things".

Tori, who is mother to 2-year-old Stella and 1-year-old Liam, had fallen out with Candy two years ago following the death of her millionaire father Aaron.
