Britney Spears is suing eight companies for money lost when she was forced to abort last year's tour.
She has filed a complaint in New York State's Supreme Court which gives the eight underwriting companies, who have not yet reimbursed the tour promoters, thirty days to respond.
The Toxic singer was forced to cancel the remaining dates on her Onyx Hotel world tour after she sustained an injury to her knee during shooting the promotional video for her single Outrageous.
A spokesperson said of the incident: "She obviously took a wrong step and blew out her knee... It was an old dance injury."
The BBC report that Spears is now seeking $9.3m (£5m) from the eight companies, seven of which are London-based.
