Jackson's secret hospital visit revealed

Details have emerged about a previously unknown 1999 hospital stay by Michael Jackson.

Fox News reports that he checked into New York's Lenox Hill Hospital for April 17 and 18 of the year, under the alias of "James Walker", apparently for treatment of exhaustion and dehydration.

It seems that neither his then-wife Debbie Rowe nor those close to the star knew of this visit, though one insider who did know about it supposed that it was in relation to some drug-related problem.

However, speaking to Fox, Dr. Len Horovitz said that he treated Jackson at the time for dehydration. He said: "My job was to hydrate him quickly. I put the IV in myself, and there was no one else around."

Horowitz also made the interesting revelation that the star genuinely suffers from vitiligo, which has made his skin turn lighter over the years. He said: "He has not had chemical peels or used any drugs to do it. He is blotchy in places that you can't see, and he does wear makeup in public. But the vitiligo is real."
