Dench 'thinks about death all the time'

Dame Judi Dench has admitted that she is afraid of dying.

The 75-year-old actress also explained that she "loathes" getting older, Showbiz Spy reports.

"I don't like it all," she said. "Suddenly I get up out of a chair and can't rush across the room. But there's nothing I can do about it. My energy levels are okay but I can't see very well. People have to look up and wave at me. If a restaurant is too dark I can end up talking to the back of chairs."

Dench continued: "I think about dying all the time but I push it to the back of my mind. Why? Because of fear, of course."

Dench recently dismissed suggestions that she is a "national treasure".
