Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross has spoken out to deny rumours about her sexuality.
The actress, who plays Bree Van De Kamp in the show, was outed as "a real-life lesbian" in The Sun earlier this week. The tabloid claimed that Cross would be appearing on the cover of gay magazine The Advocate to make her big announcement.
"I'm not," Cross told The View on Wednesday, admitting she was puzzled how the speculation had started. "Well, it was very odd. And.. I just assumed this is what comes of being 42 and single. I don't know if they just needed to find a reason why I wasn't married."
Not that she thought of it as a big deal, however, adding: "I do think it was really weird, though, that there was all this curiosity about something, like that - about sexuality. And I thought what a world we live in that that's so important."
