Soul singer Joss Stone has denied claims that she is engaged to boyfriend Beau Dozier.

Fans speculated that Dozier, Stone's date to the Brit Awards on Wednesday, had popped the question after Joss was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.

"It's from my boyfriend Beau," she told Breakingnews.ie. "We're not engaged, but it is a symbol of commitment."

Meanwhile, Joss is currently having to cope with the break-up of her parents, who have apparently being keeping their marriage problems hidden until recently.

An insider told The Mirror today, "It's been a tough time for the family, especially Joss. But her parents have the best interests of their children at heart."

Joss added, "My mum and dad both want to see me, but they don't want to see each other. Whatever. I'm used to it."
