Beyoncé's mother files for divorce?

Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles has allegedly filed for divorce from the singer's father and manager Mathew after 29 years of marriage.

According to MTV, the costume designer filed paperwork last month in Texas seeking an end to the couple's relationship.

TMZ reported that her husband was hit with a paternity suit in October from Alexsandra Wright, who claimed to be six months pregnant with his child. It is not clear if the suit had anything to do with the divorce filing.

Both parents have played pivotal roles in their daughter's career. Mathew formed Destiny's Child predecessor Girl's Tyme and earned a producer credit on many of Beyoncé's albums, as well as her latest movie Obsessed.

Meanwhile, Tina helped design many of the popstar's costumes and is her partner in the House of Dereon fashion line.
