Brittany Murphy death was "natural"

Brittany Murphy is believed to have died from "natural causes".

The 32-year-old actress, who was most famous for roles in 8 Mile, Clueless and Just Married, suffered from cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital in LA yesterday.

Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter told The AP: "It appears to be natural", adding that Murphy's family are yet to arrange funeral proceedings.

Murphy's official autopsy will not be performed until early next week, when experts have looked into her medical records and toxicology reports.

It is believed that the star, who was married to British screenwriter Simon Monjack, was found unconscious by her mother in the shower.
