Murphy was due to spend NYE in Aus

Brittany Murphy was apparently looking forward to spending New Year's Eve in Australia.

The Clueless and 8 Mile actress, who died from a heart attack on Sunday aged 32, was due to fly to Sydney with fellow actor Elijah Wood to star in the sequel to animated penguin film Happy Feet.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Murphy had told friends that she was "more than excited" about the upcoming trip.

Murphy was apparently found unconscious in the shower of her LA home by her mother and was later pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Although a Coroner's Office spokesperson said that Murphy's death "appears to be natural", there have been rumours that she took prescription drugs and suffered from an eating disorder.
