Charlie Simpson has said that he is pleased with the reaction that Fightstar are receiving.
The band have just finished a UK tour promoting their debut E.P. They Liked You Better When You Were Dead, to be released on February 28.
The former Busted singer told MTV2's Zane Lowe that crowds are giving his new band a chance. In an interview to be shown on the channel's Gonzo this evening, he said: "I walk on the stage and people are like 'what the f*ck is all this about?' then by the end you can feel the mood change.
"It's almost the ultimate sense of achievement when people come up to me and say 'I came here wanting to not like it, but I DID like it.'"
"People are giving us a chance, even if they don't want to."
