McManus, Walton voted Oz wedding of 2009

Rove McManus and Tasma Walton's nuptials have been voted the best Australian Celebrity Wedding of the Year in a poll carried out by The Daily Telegraph.

The chatshow host, whose first wife Belinda Emmett died from cancer, wed actress Walton in a shoeless beach ceremony in Broome earlier this year.

Also featured on the list were Kristy Hinze and Jim Clarke, Jules Lund and Anna Dusek, and Geoffrey Edelsten and Brynne Gordon.

Members of the public also named Peter Overton and Jessica Rowe's daughter Giselle the Baby of the Year, followed by Grant and Candice Hackett's twins Jagger and Charlize, and Catriona Rowntree and James Pettit's son Andrew John.

The department store Myer's spring/summer fashion launch in August was named the Gala Event of the Year.
