Downey Jr: 'I learned to love London'

Robert Downey Jr has revealed that he used to hate London.

The Sherlock Holmes actor, who stars in the film alongside Jude Law, said that he was disappointed to discover he would have to move to the capital city to shoot the sleuth movie.

Downey Jr told Us Weekly: "I filmed [Chaplin] there 20 years ago and the food sucked, so I wasn't happy at first.

"But there's something about the work ethic and the people. Everyone had a great attitude."

Downey Jr recently admitted that he can be a "monster" prone to "aggressive outbursts" when working on a film.

Sherlock Holmes is out in cinemas now.
