The It's Complicated star, who has daughter Mamie Gummer with husband Don, said that she is "not ready" to give away her child despite liking her future son-in-law.
"My eldest daughter... I'm not ready, but I really love Benjamin Walker. It's exciting," the Daily Star quotes Streep as saying.
Fellow actors Gummer and Walker got engaged in October this year after 18 months of dating.
