Szohr: 'Westwick romance was awkward'

Jessica Szohr has admitted that her romance with her Gossip Girl co-star Ed Westwick was initially "awkward".

The actress told Teen Vogue that the pair had been such good friends that it made the relationship difficult at first.

"It can be a little awkward when all of a sudden [you have feelings for] someone you'd call to talk about a different boyfriend," she said. "But there wasn't a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, 'Alright, let's see where this goes'."

Szohr added that she is enjoying spending time with Westwick, who she described as a "really rad guy".

"He's awesome and smart and talented and adorable, and we make each other laugh," she said. "We go to dinners, have nights by ourselves and fun romantic times in general. And I like just cuddling up on the couch."
