Kings drummer 'almost hit Kanye West'

Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill is said to have been so incensed at Kanye West for ruining Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs last September that he nearly punched him.

According to brother and fellow bandmate Jared, Nathan was so angry at West for upsetting the country star that he had to be restrained by the rest of the group in order to stop him lashing out at the rapper.

"I think Nathan was gonna try to punch Kanye." Jared explained. "We were two rows behind him, and Nathan was flipping him off, saying, 'F*** you'.

"I was like, 'Dude, if you try to hit him, it's not even gonna be a fight between you and him - it's gonna be our security guards and his security guards'.

"And it would have made it even worse for Taylor. So we peeled out."
