P Diddy warns fans of fake NYE parties

P Diddy has warned fans that unscrupulous club promoters are falsely claiming that he is endorsing their New Year's Eve parties, and has insisted that he will not be hosting any events tomorrow night.

The hip-hop mogul - real name Sean Combs - is famed for his penchant for extravagant parties but has instead decided upon a more low-key get-together at home with a small group of family and friends.

In a post on his Twitter page, he wrote: "For New Year's I'm NOT having a party!!! I'mma (sic) be at my crib with fam and friends. So if y'all here (sic) I'm having a party it's a lie!!"

Diddy is due to host the grand opening of the Vanity nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas the following night.
