Tiger Woods' wife Elin Nordegren reportedly welcomed in 2010 surrounded by close friends in the French Alps.

The Swedish model is said to be recuperating after details of her husband's alleged affairs emerged. Nordegren, 29, took in 2010 in the resort of Chamonix with her sister Josephin and five friends, according to The Sun.

The group dined out for New Year's Eve, then went to a party in what was described as a "new start".

A family friend said that Nordegren has been "torn to pieces" by her husband's alleged infidelity and wanted to get away for the festive break.

The golfer, who has announced that he is taking an indefinite break from the game to work on his marriage, has apparently entered rehab for a reported addiction to sex.
