Bussell named cruise liner's 'godmother'

Darcey Bussell has been named as the official 'godmother' to a new British cruise liner.

The former prima ballerina and Strictly Come Dancing judge will name the P&O vessel Azura during a ceremony on April 10.

The ship, which houses 3,100 passengers, has a crew of 1,226 peopple and includes 10 restaurants, a spa, a 750-seat theatre, nightclubs, a cinema and a gym, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Bussell has chosen the Sydney Dance Company, The Royal Ballet School and the Prince's Rainforests Project as the charities to benefit from the opening ceremony.
