The Beautiful Life actress revealed that it's important for her to take care of herself.
Speaking to OK!, the 23-year-old said: "I haven't changed much about my life since I became famous.
"I still take the subway and do my own laundry."
Barton added: "I'm not a bitch. I clean my own crap and I enjoy having a normal life. People get crazy with what they write about me, and it's never true. I've just learned to have a good laugh about it."
