Posh flies in British specialist for birth

Victoria Beckham is flying her own medical team to Spain in preparation for the birth of her third child on Friday.

Beckham will give birth by caesarean section in a private hospital, but the team will not be able to deliver her child.

Posh originally planned for Dr Malcolm Gillard, who delivered Brooklyn, to take charge at the birth, however due to a Spanish law, he does not have the credentials to do so in Spain.

A source told the News of the World, "Victoria needs Dr Gillard there for moral and emotional support. Her big wish was for him to lead proceedings but it's just not possible - even the Beckhams are not above the law."

The source added, "Victoria simply wouldn't feel happy going into labour without the moral back-up of Dr Gillard. He's been with her every step of the way this time round and Victoria doesn't want that to change now.

"Even though she loves the Spanish people, she will feel happier if she has a British specialist with her to explain everything should it go wrong."
