Victoria Beckham has given birth to her third son, it has been announced.

The baby was born by caesarean section in Madrid, shortly after husband David played in a match in the capital for Real Madrid.

It was originally expected that Victoria would give birth on Friday, however the date was brought forward for an unknown reason.

A spokesman for the Beckhams has announced that they will be making a statement later today.
