According to JustJared, Lakshmi first referred to her unborn child as "she" when Jimmy Fallon asked her about the pregnancy on a recent episode of Late Night.
"She was kicking... uh... he was kicking... I'm not saying which one... I use she and he intermittently!" she told Fallon.
Lakshmi has yet to officially announce the sex of her baby.
The 39-year-old had struggled with endometriosis, a medical condition that causes possible infertility when the uterus' lining grows in other areas of the body. Her pregnancy has been hailed as a "medical miracle", Us Weekly reports.
