McConaughey 'proud to make baby girl'

Matthew McConaughey is "proud" to have made a daughter, according to the actor's brother.

The Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past star and girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed daughter Vida on Sunday.

She weighed 7lbs 7oz.

Speaking to People, brother Rooster said: "He called me on Sunday afternoon and said, 'I made a little baby girl'. He's all proud... He's got it going on now."

McConaughey previously explained that the new arrival had been named after the Portuguese word for life, adding: "Camila's recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honoured to welcome this little lady into our family."

The pair are also parents to son Levi.
