Jessica Simpson hospitalised

Singer Jessica Simpson was briefly hospitalised on Monday when she suffered from a stomach virus.

Simpson was filming a contribution for Oprah Winfrey's chat show when she was suddenly taken by the illness and taken to hospital. Her representative, Brad Cafarelli, told People magazine: "While Jessica was in Chicago shooting a segment for Oprah, she contracted a stomach virus and became dehydrated. She is already feeling better after being checked into, and released from, a local hospital for rehydration before flying back to Los Angeles."

According to The Oprah Winfrey Show website, Simpson will appear in a segment called "Red Carpet Makeovers With Jessica Simpson", to be aired on Friday, IMDB reports.
