James Martin 'won't speak to dad again'

TV chef James Martin has vowed that he will never speak to his father again.

The Saturday Kitchen star is believed to have fallen out with dad Ian after making a number of claims about his stepmother in his autobiography.

According to The Sun, Martin said that he and his father are both "too stubborn" to reconcile, adding: "I've accepted he will never be a part of my life.

"I spent 12 years trying to get on with him. You never knew what was around the corner. It was always something like getting divorced or remarried, or a new woman. It was just relentless. I thought, 'I've had enough of this. I'm just going to separate completely'."

The TV personality was successfully sued by stepmum Sarah Beth Briggs after she complained about libel in his book.

Describing the autobiography as his "biggest regret", Martin commented: "The only good thing from it was the realisation I would never speak to my father again."
