'Seinfeld' star joins Jenny Craig

Former Seinfeld actor Jason Alexander has signed a deal to promote Jenny Craig programmes and products.

Alexander joins Valerie Bertinelli, Queen Latifah and other celebs who have inked deals with the weight control company, says Reuters.

The 50-year-old said that he decided to lose weight last year while taping a Seinfeld reunion for HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. His goal is to lose 30 pounds.

"It's always been the same old story. The first 10lbs were gone in a jiff, but then bamm!. Back again, and this time, they're back with a vengeance - they even brought friends," Alexander added about his previous diets.
