Jones settles neighbourhood dispute

The Fall singer had hoped to add ten windows to her Cobble Hill home and was given permission for the work by the local authority last year.
However, members of the Cobble Hill Association threatened to file a lawsuit, claiming that the extra windows would be a safety hazard as they would weaken the building.
Jones has now filed a new application, reducing the construction to seven windows.
The president of the association told the New York Post that he was satisfied with the revision, adding: "Our first choice is to always have neighbours work together and find a compromise."
