Gisele '2009's highest-paid supermodel'

Gisele Bundchen has been named the world's top-earning supermodel.

The 29-year-old is believed to have made around $35m (£21.9m) in 2009, despite taking time out towards the end of the year to have her first child with husband Tom Brady.

The Brazilian's total for the year dwarfed nearest rival Kate Moss, who finished in second place after earning $7.5m (£4.7m).

Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima placed third on the list compiled by Walletpop.co.uk. Fellow underwear model Doutzen Kroes was fourth and Czech pin-up Karolina Kurkova rounded out the top five.
