Prosecution states case against Jackson

The first day of the Michael Jackson saw the prosecution outline its case to the jury.

District Attorney Thomas Sneddon told the jury that Jackson exposed his accuser to "strange sexual behaviour" and showed him adult material on the internet when he was ten years old.

He said that the case was about the star's "desparate attempt" to pull his career back from the brink after the damage caused by Martin Bashir's documentary.

He also commented that Jackson manipulated the boy into appearing in the film, not telling him that it would be viewed across the world. He told the jury: "He never told the boy that this video was anything other than an audition."

Sneddon went on to say that he gave the accuser a tour of explicit material on the internet and when a topless woman was on the screen, turned to him and asked "Got milk?".

Further, an employee of Jackson, Frank Tyson, apparently threatened the accuser, telling him: "Michael could make the family disappear...I could have your mother killed."
