According to The AP, Spiderman Turn Off the Dark had been scheduled to start on February 25, but production delays have forced the crew to reimburse fans.
Despite the setback, executives assured that "the production is moving forward" with a new previews schedule at the Hilton Theater. An opening date will be confirmed shortly.
Meanwhile, ticket-holders can immediately request a refund from Ticketmaster or wait to exchange them for another date when the new performances are announced.
This is not the first glitch for the musical, which had its rehearsals halted this summer due to financial difficulties.
The show will be directed by Broadway's Lion King helmer Julie Taymor with a score by Bono and The Edge of U2.
