David and Victoria Beckham have denied claims that they showered their son Brooklyn with expensive gifts on his sixth birthday.
Rumours suggested that the couple bought Brooklyn a pair of £25,000 diamond earrings.
However, the truth of the matter is that Brooklyn was happy enough with a push-bike and Power Rangers figures.
A friend of the couple told The Mirror, "Brooklyn really wanted a bike and was over the moon when he saw that his parents had bought him one."
Brooklyn's biggest present was a huge superhero-themed party at the Beckhams' villa in Madrid, which was attended by the entire Real Madrid football team.
A spokesperson confirmed, "Of course he didn't get diamond earrings. He hasn't even got his ears pierced."
