The People says that the couple, who already own houses in Hertfordshire, Los Angeles and the French Riviera, are hoping to buy a property in Belgravia.
The pair were allegedly impressed by a five-bedroom house in Eaton Square which costs £11m.
The square is also home to Nigella Lawson, the Duke of Wellington and Chelsy Davy.
"Victoria in particular wanted a home located bang in the middle of the city," a source said. "They were immediately drawn to Belgravia. The sale is being completed discreetly by an agent used to celebrity clients."
However, a spokesperson for the couple said: "They are looking for an investment but a deal is yet to be made."
Mark Wahlberg has previously accused the Beckhams of ruining his neighbourhood in LA.
