Leslie Ash wants cleaner hospitals

Leslie Ash is to campaign for Britain's hospitals to be cleaned up.

Ash fell ill to an MRSA-related infection whilst at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital, and is determined to raise public awareness of the problem.

She told ITV: "I was very close to death. My two children were informed that I may not live.

"For them to go through that makes me so angry.

"I want to bring this to the public notice. If NHS policies aren't working, the public should know about it.

"I know four people who have had MRSA. The problem must be getting worse."

The Men Behaving Badly star has stated that she intends to sue the hospital where she believes she caught a strain of the superbug, and she will address the Clean Hospital summit next month in a bid to raise public awareness.
