Jamie and Louise Redknapp's former style magazine Icon has reportedly run into severe financial difficulties.

The bi-monthly publication, which is aimed at footballers and their wives, allegedly had debts of £300,000 when its accounts were filed two years ago.

According to the Daily Mail, Companies House records show that all magazine directors resigned in recent months and no replacements have been listed.

Four outstanding County Court claims have been lodged by creditors against the magazine, totalling more than £21,000.

The latest issue has not been sent to subscribers and no explanation has been given for a delay.

The Redknapps stopped running the magazine a year ago when its parent company changed from Redknapp Publishing Ltd to Icon Magazine Ltd.

The couple, who personally invested in the venture when it was launched with ex-Tottenham Hotspur footballer Tim Sherwood in 2005, said in a statement that they were "very sad about the current circumstances".
