Teen charged with Bingle car theft

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with the theft of Lara Bingle and Michael Clarke's $250,000 (£140,000) Aston Martin.

Bingle, who received the sports car as a present from her Australian cricketer fiancé, was said to be very upset when she discovered that it was missing from the secure car park of their Sydney apartment in December.

The boy was charged with malicious damage, breaking and entering and property theft, according to The Daily Telegraph.

A police spokesperson confirmed that he had been refused bail and would face Bidura Children's Court today.
