Mel Gibson: 'New baby is an angel'

Mel Gibson has reportedly branded his baby daughter Lucia "an angel".

The Lethal Weapon star and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva welcomed their first child together in October.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, he said: "[She's] beautiful, like an angel. She luckily looks more like her mother than me and is an angel and the mother, turns out she's a wonderful mother."

When asked if they have plans to marry, he reportedly replied: "She'd make anyone a wonderful wife, but for the moment, she's a mother."

Gibson has seven children from his marriage to estranged wife Robyn, while Grigorieva has a son with actor Timothy Dalton.

The actor's new movie Edge Of Darkness opens on January 29.
