Sandilands: 'I've learned my lesson'

The Australian radio host, who was reprimanded for grilling a 14-year-old rape victim about her sex life live on his 2DayFM show last year, said that he has re-evaluated the meaning of having a sense of humour since the incident.
Sandilands told The Daily Telegraph: "It was an eye-opening year. And for sure it was lesson-learning. We do that show as if we're doing it for friends, and it was a reminder not everyone who tunes into it is a 'friendly', or might not have the same sense of humour we do.
"I am reminding myself that not everyone is going to find the same things funny that I do. And I should maybe think a little bit more before I blurt things out - especially that it's live radio, that makes it a different kettle of fish."
Sandilands was sacked from his role as a judge on Australian Idol after the incident.
