Knightley 'rents houseboat' with Friend

Keira Knightley has been renting a canal barge in London's East End with partner Rupert Friend, according to a report.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actress started enjoying quality time with Friend on the residential boat at the beginning of the year, The Sun claims.

A nearby resident told the newspaper: "They've hired the boat until the summer and they seem really happy. They spend most weekends on it, brewing up pots of tea.

"They're a very sweet couple. They like nothing better than strolling along the canal hand in hand and going to the chippy for a fish supper."

The pair, who have been dating since 2005, are both currently in the capital to star in separate plays.

An insider added: "It's rare that Rupert and Keira get to spend an extended period of time together so they're over the moon that they're both working in London at the moment. They regard their houseboat as their sanctuary."
