Geldof, 20, lost her travel documents when they slipped out of her bag while walking in an East London park, reports The Sun.
However, a mum walking her kids spotted the passport and decided to contact the socialite on Twitter after realising the identity of the owner.
"I spotted it was Peaches's and I thought, 'Why not get it back to her safe and sound myself?'" said the mum. "I'm sure it got there quicker via Twitter."
"She was resigned to the fact that she would need to apply for a new passport," said a source. "Then she received a Twitter message from someone telling her that they had found it - she was over the moon."
A spokesperson for Geldof commented: "Peaches is very grateful."
