'Take Me Out' McGuinness gets engaged

Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness became engaged over Christmas, say reports.

According to The Sun, the 36-year-old comic proposed to former Miss Liverpool Christine Martin over the festive period. They are expected to wed later this year.

"Paddy's seriously loved-up at the moment. His career is going well and now he's getting married," said a source. "It's turning out to be a great time."

McGuinness found fame working with Peter Kay on Channel 4 comedy series Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy's Road To Nowhere.

Take Me Out airs at 8pm tomorrow night on ITV1.
