Abi Titmuss to quit glamour industry

Abi Titmuss has revealed that she is keen to call time on her glamour modelling career.

In an interview with Live From Studio Five, the 33-year-old claimed that her most recent underwear pictures are likely to be her last because she wants to concentrate on her acting career.

Titmuss explained: "I have got a calendar out for this year, but it's probably going to be my last one, let's face it. At the end of the day, I'm doing fringe theatre at the moment and I have to pay the mortgage! It's as simple as that really.

"On the first FHM cover I ever did, Halle Berry was the cover before me and she's an Oscar-winning actress. You can be sexy and successful as a woman, but I do want to stop doing that now and I have really stopped doing it."

On her efforts to be taken seriously as an actress, Titmuss commented: "It's getting there now. I appreciate it takes time. I don't want to be just famous for being famous, I had a very strange start and that's what happened, but seven years on I'm still here and that takes a lot of hard work actually."

Titmuss will appear in comedy play Stage Fright at London's Canal Cafe Theatre from February 2.
