Gaston 'moving on' from Miley Cyrus

Justin Gaston has admitted that he struggled after breaking up with Miley Cyrus.

The aspiring musician added that he is now trying to move on from the Hannah Montana star.

"You can always tell when someone's getting ready to leave you," he told E! News. "But you try so hard not to believe it and to hold on to every bit of hope that's left.

"I think everyone experiences the side of being hurt where you feel like you'll never feel again."

However, he explained that his debut single 'Paper Hearts', which is reportedly inspired by his split from Cyrus, doesn't necessarily reflect his feelings.

"You realise that life goes on and you move on," Gaston said. "You look back at it and laugh."

Gaston was recently revealed as one of the contestants in Simon Fuller's new reality show If I Can Dream.
