Peter Kay voted best comedian

A poll of 10,000 people has revealed that Bolton-born comedian Peter Kay is the nation's favourite funnyman.
The poll was organised by Jongleurs Comedy Clubs in celebration of their 21st anniversary, and saw Kay coming out on top in the north, while Billy Connolly won Scotland's vote, Lee Evans was most popular in the south, while The Office star Ricky Gervais was the favourite in London and Wales.
Gervais said: "I'm very flattered. It's great to be liked in London where I live because now I know it's safe to walk the streets."
