Jessica Simpson to launch denim line

Jessica Simpson is planning to design a range of jeans later this year.

Women's Wear Daily says that the singer has decided to launch the denim in July as part of her fashion line.

The collection is said to include boot-cut, flared, straight and skinny-leg jeans and will be on sale in stores and online.

"Because I live in denim, the fit was the most important," Simpson said. "A girl's booty needs to look good. I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand - a jean that becomes a girl's best friend, that everyday go-to pair."

Simpson is reportedly also in talks with Pascal Mouawad to design a new collection of jewellery.
