Lavigne still has "connection" with ex

Avril Lavigne has revealed that she thinks of her ex-husband as "family".

The 25-year-old singer, who filed for divorce from Deryck Whibley last year after more than three years of marriage, said that they enjoy working together despite not being romantically involved.

"We still work together all the time," People magazine quotes Lavigne as saying. He's one of my best friends.

"We've been friends for a really long time, and we always will be. We're family and we have a connection."

Lavigne also said that musician Whibley helped her produce and mix her new album Pink Crust and added that they continue to "work really well together".
