Daren Kagasoff 'admires DiCaprio, Hirsch'

The Secret Life Of An American Teenager star Daren Kagasoff has reportedly namechecked Leonardo DiCaprio and Emile Hirsch as actors that he would like to be compared with.

According to Just Jared, the 22-year-old told Vman that he is frequently likened to James Dean and Luke Perry but that he admires the careers of DiCaprio and Hirsch.

"With Leo, it's beyond the fact that he is a moneymaking machine," he explained.

"He is really conscious about his material and takes every character he plays to a place the writers never even anticipated."

He added: "Emile Hirsch is just so respectable. He works for the art of it and that kind of passion transcends on screen."

Kagasoff also reportedly revealed that he would "love" to break into movies and theatre, and is interested in taking on roles that will "challenge" him as an actor.
