Mel Gibson: 'Obama can't fix the US'

Mel Gibson has said that President Barack Obama has "an impossible task on his hands" to fix America's problems.

The Edge Of Darkness star has said that although the President inherited a "mess", he doesn't believe he can "fix" all of America's problems during his tenure.

The 54-year-old filmmaker told Pop Tarts: "Obama is a man with an impossible task on his hands.

"He got left a mess and I wish him all the best but I don't think he's going to fix it in five minutes and probably not in his entire tenure."

Gibson's new movie Edge Of Darkness is currently playing in US and UK cinemas.
