Jonathan Ross has admitted that he feels "ghastly" after coming down with swine flu.

Ross, who became ill earlier this week, managed to film Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on Thurday night although he wrote on Twitter that he had "never felt iller".

However, the Daily Mail reports that Ross was forced to contact the BBC on Friday morning to cancel the recording of his Radio 2 show.

In another Twitter post, he thanked David Tennant and Catherine Tate after they filled in for him.

"Big thanks to David and Catherine for stepping in on Radio 2," he said. "I have been given Tamiflu by the doctor. Still feel ghastly."

He later added: "Thanks for all the get well messages! My son just sneezed on me."
