Love Hewitt 'not rushing relationship'

Jennifer Love Hewitt has insisted that she is happy with the way her relationship is going.

The actress, who has been dating Jamie Kennedy since March, caused speculation last year when she joked that if the pair weren't planning something in a year there would be a "situation".

"The engagement thing was blown out of all proportion," she told the Daily Mail. "When I made that comment about there being a 'situation' I wasn't really giving him a time clock. If it's going to happen it will happen, but right now we are not rushing anything. We are both just really happy."

However, Love Hewitt added that she is looking forward to starting a family in the future.

"I would love to have kids, but I have no idea when," she said. "I used to try and work it all out and then I realised that life is so much better when you don't plan it. I know that I will have children one day... I am just really happy in the here and now."
