The former TV presenter confirmed recent reports that her hair has started to grow back.
Porter told Closer: "I'm more confident now than ever. I'm so happy and excited but I don't want to get my hopes up because I know people with alopecia who get their hair back and then lose it all again.
"I've now got eyebrows, eyelashes and body hair for the first time in ages. I counted four hairs on my leg in the bath this morning and I've just had my first bikini wax in five years - I'd forgotten how painful it is!"
She added: "My head hair is nearly all coming through apart from an odd Mickey Mouse shape at the front.
"I've bleached it orangey green because I want to have fun with it. I don't want to have long hair again - I'll keep it short because I like looking like a skinhead!"
